A passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines has crashed in Aktau, Kazakhstan. Authorities have confirmed that there are survivors among the passengers.

The flight, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, was en route from Baku to Grozny when the incident occurred. Officials stated that the plane was carrying 67 passengers and 5 crew members at the time of the crash.

According to reports from the Azerbaijani media, the aircraft issued an „SOS“ signal over the Caspian Sea before attempting an emergency landing at Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan.
