Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to undergo prostate surgery this Sunday to remove his prostate, according to a statement released by his office.

Netanyahu underwent a medical examination last Wednesday at Hadassah Hospital, where he was diagnosed with benign prostate enlargement. It was reported that inflammation in the prostate was treated with medication, and the gland will be removed through surgery on Sunday.

Despite the operation, Netanyahu is expected to attend the cabinet meeting scheduled for the same day.
